F it Friday

No, I don't mean that F word! (Man you guys have dirty minds ;).

I mean:

Forget what, you ask? I'll tell ya!

Did you have a crappy day this week? Did something stress you out? Did you get a bad bit of critique back on Monday? Get strep throat on Tuesday? A huge credit card bill from delayed Christmas purchases Wednesday? Find a large Christmas-sized dog poo hiding under the bed (for who knows how long-or how many more there might be) on Thursday?

So if any of that, or more unusual amounts of Fun stuff, happened to you this week...Forget it! It's Friday. All worries, disappointments, and stresses magically disappear on Fridays. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

May you all have a Fabulous weekend!

Just for Fun, what had you saying "F it" this week?

  1. I went to my first business conference, totally excited. Of course the minute I left the office three customers had issues that needed to be fixed, now, now, now. So not only did I not get to see a whole lot of the conference, but I was trying to do everything remotely.

Oh well. It's the weekend. I'm going to Forget it.

    Until Monday...haha

  2. I had a nervous breakdown on Wednesday (freaking out about the Foreign Service). Today I'm saying F it! Whatever will be will be! And then I'll probably have another nervous breakdown next week.

  4. Bills, always bills. Laundry - I swear it's breeding. A To-do list I'd rather not do at all. The fact that I would like to hide under a rock today but have responsibilities. But hey, in the scheme of things it's nothing so I'm going to forget about it. :)

  5. I'm just going to go with the whole stinkin' week. Life has been throwing boulders I'm going to build a force field this weekend so they can't bug me anymore.

  7. Can I say F the laundry that's piled up in my room? No? OK, well I had a busy but good week. So, I don't really need to say that for anything else.

  10. I had several F it moments. The spouse and I rehashing something that has been thrashed to death and never seems to end. One too many of my employees waited until the very moment I was to leave work and ask me a question they could have asked hours before. Finally - how many "bosses office in 5 minutes" messages did I get? Way too many. F it.

Friday is here and it is GONE. :-) Thanks for the great post.

  11. Oh Jessie! I really hope that all those things did NOT happen to you. :( Not cool! Monday was awful. Just one of those grouchy days, and yesterday my kid was sick. Still sick today but we're off on a mountain retreat and I'm going to enjoy myself. I hope next week brings you nothing but GOOD!

  14. Hahaha! This is hilarious. And did I tell you that I had strep on Tuesday?

As far as what I'm saying F it to this week.... I've got nothing. Apparently I already F it. ;)

  15. Oh man! This week: lots and lots of tears! And then my daughter's online school's homeroom teacher and counselor both told me she could "F it" for all her overdue assignments and they wouldn't penalize her, because of some stuff that's going on at home. Well, I guess good sometimes comes from adversity. This weekend we don't have to stress about her schoolwork and she starts out Monday with a clean slate!

  16. Love this. One of my favorite books as a kid was Walk Two Moons and it has stuck with me even now because of the little snippets of knowledge in there. "In the course of a lifetime, what does it matter?" I LOVE that quote because it always helps me put things in perspective! (Or I try to, anyway, lol).

  17. My dog peed on my only nice couch today. And I can't potty-train my kid. It's impossible. so I'm walking around the house with carpet cleaner all day squirting piles of piddle and pseudo-swearing. Great post!

  18. It's Monday. I've got to come up with some catchy phrase for Mondays like you did for Fridays. ;)
