My writing Bff Erin has come up with a totally awesome contest to make things interesting. She is giving away a headshot. The thing is, I could totally use one of those. So voila, here is my mention of her contest. Go over there and enter to win.
This got me thinking, what do I have to offer as a prize for my own giveaway? A free Last Will and Testament? A Living Trust? A critique? A book? Cold hard cash???
Nope, while all those things would be totally rad, I decided to give away:
$20 of Fandango Bucks!
THE HUNGER GAMES movie comes out 8 days. I am so beyond stoked to go see it that I already bought my tickets a month ago. But for those of you who have not, here's your chance at free tickets.
How to enter:
You can have multiple entries by:

2. Leave a comment (about what you would give away if you decided to come up with a random giveaway...or whatever.)
3. Post about this random giveaway on your blog.
4. Facebook about the contest.
5. You can tweet it too if ya wants.

The contest will be open from NOW until March 21 (the night before HUNGER GAMES premiers).

I am not a big blog reader (except this one of course) so I didn't know about such things, but I do know I like the idea. However, unless you can convert your $ vouchers to £ vouchers, my contribution is purely fanciful. My contest would give away a free tour of London, including my own personal spin on the "big smoke".

I want to re-read the book the week in preparation :) I've never done a giveaway on my blog, but for my 1 year blogaversary I pre-ordered an extra signed copy of Maggie Stiefvater's The Raven Boys to giveaway. That's, um, not until October though. At least I'm thinking ahead? haha.

I actually love blog awards and contest. When I first started blogging I got like three awards in one day and it took me a while to respond to all and pass them on. ReplyDeleteI just gave away a $20 Amazon Gift Card and 2 books on my blog for my 100 followers blowout extravaganza.. when I hit 200 I'll have to amp it up a bit. I hadn't really thought about doing a Fandango giveaway, but it's a great idea. In fact, I just used Fandango this weekend to go see John Carter with my 9 yo son as our Father/Son time.. we had a blast, and the movie was pretty good too.
