Beach Bum!
No, this picture is not of me (unfortunately). I am not that tan, skinny, or lucky to be so alone. Add two thousand more people (including six sandy cracked children), much larger waves (Huntington Beach has some seriously hot surfer eye candy), and a slight sun burn (from two days of naively soaking up the sun).
Whatever. I'm on Spring Break. So forgive me for not having a super awesome helpful writing post today. Everyone deserves a little Spring Break bummin', right? Especially since I am hard at work beta reading for friends (which is really fun actually).
So, what have you done...or are you doing...or going to do for your Spring Break?
Spring break was spent in the rain. :0( But I keep telling myself we are doing something super fun for summer, so be patient.

ReplyDeleteSpring break is next week. I'm hoping to have revisions done so I can spend the week with my kiddos and get lots of yardwork and laser tag accomplished.

ReplyDeleteMine starts tomorrow (is only Th, Fri, and Mon) but the kids go to daycare, and I get to stay home and write! I'm so excited I can barely sit still!

ReplyDeleteLucky you! I wish I was spending our break on the beach. We've had fun though. Hit the zoo today and the fun center yesterday. The kids are having a blast, but I could use a little (okay a LOT) of sun!

Enjoy your break. Our spring break just ended and Easter break (for the kids) began today. The beach is sounding good, but no way am I bathing suit ready.

ReplyDeleteWe were at Huntington Beach last week and we were the ONLY people there because it was FREEZING! Windy and huge waves. But hey, we only go to the ocean once in, well never, so we had to at least go see it.

ReplyDeleteNo official Spring Break for me but did however take my oldest son and his wife to Sea World yesterday. Beautiful weather, lots of burned to a crisp tourists (especially those getting "some sun" on the girls), amazing dolphins and marine life and tons o happy children.
ReplyDeleteSpring Broke it a few weeks back in Vegas. Very interesting time walking the strip with my teenagers. I'm so happy they are so innocent. They actually thought I was a little out of control. Go figure.
